Platform Concepts
The vocabulary of the Forge.
| Concept | What it is |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Everything you can reach: your projects, invitations and recent changes. |
| Project | One complete integration. Owns agents, credentials, commands, subscriptions, endpoints and a team. |
| Agent | An automated account that joins hubs and acts in them. Each environment has its own agents and tokens. |
| Identity | How the project and its agents look: names, avatars, banners, brand color, public profile. |
| Access | OAuth2: how people authorize the project to act for them, with redirect URLs and scopes per environment. |
| Secrets | Agent tokens, client secrets, API keys, signing keys and delivery secrets. Hashed or sealed; shown once. |
| Capabilities | The hub permissions the agent asks for when installed. Hub managers see and grant them. |
| Commands | Slash commands members run. Grouped, localized, versioned and testable. |
| Event Stream | Subscriptions to platform events, filtered by hub and channel. |
| Delivery | HTTPS endpoints that receive events, signed and retried. |
| Environments | Development, Staging and Production — fully separate credentials and agents. |
Roles
Every project member has one role. The server checks it on every request.
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including deleting or transferring the project. One per project. |
| Manager | Everything except delete/transfer, including production credentials and the team. |
| Developer | Build: agents, commands, events, delivery, and dev/staging credentials. Not production secrets. |
| Analyst | Read activity, telemetry, security and audit. No changes. |
| Viewer | See the project's configuration. No changes, no telemetry. |
