Community guidelines
The rules for everyone on Voznest — in every hub, direct message, profile, bot and stream.
Last updated: 2026-10-22
Voznest is for communities. These guidelines exist so that everyone can talk, play and create without fear. Each hub can add its own rules on top, but never below these.
1. Respect people
- No harassment, bullying or intimidation, including repeated unwanted contact, dogpiling or encouraging others to harass.
- No hate: don't attack or dehumanise people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or similar characteristics.
- No threats of violence, and no glorifying or celebrating violent attacks.
2. Keep people safe
- Nothing that sexualises minors, ever. We remove it, ban the accounts and report it to the authorities.
- No sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent, and no sexual content directed at people who didn't ask for it.
- Don't promote or encourage self-harm or suicide. If you're struggling, reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline.
- No organising or promoting violent extremism or terrorism.
3. Respect privacy
- Don't share other people's personal information — addresses, phone numbers, documents, private photos — without their permission (doxxing).
- Don't record or share private conversations or calls to expose or humiliate someone.
4. Be honest
- No impersonating other people, brands or Voznest staff.
- No scams, phishing, fake giveaways or schemes to take people's accounts, money or data.
- No spreading harmful false information that could put people at risk.
5. Keep Voznest working
- No spam: mass messages, unsolicited ads, invite flooding or fake engagement.
- No malware, exploits, attacks on the service or attempts to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Don't use bots or automation to get around limits, bans or the rules. Bots must follow the developer terms.
- Don't create new accounts to avoid a suspension or ban.
6. Legal and adult content
- Nothing illegal: no selling or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods, or pirated content.
- Respect copyright and trademarks. Rights holders can ask us to remove infringing content.
- Adult content is only allowed in channels and hubs marked as age-restricted, and never in avatars, banners, names or public places.
7. Hub owners and moderators
- You're responsible for your hub: set clear rules, moderate fairly and act on reports.
- Don't create hubs to organise breaking these guidelines elsewhere.
- Moderators must not abuse their permissions for personal benefit or revenge.
What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, how often it happens and the context, Trust & Safety can:
- Give a warning.
- Remove content.
- Limit features for a while (for example, sending messages or joining hubs).
- Suspend the account temporarily.
- Ban the account or the hub permanently, and report it to the authorities when the law requires it.
The most serious cases — child safety, credible threats, terrorism — lead to an immediate permanent ban.
Reporting and appeals
- Report with the Report option on any message, profile or hub, or from Support → Report abuse or a safety issue.
- False or malicious reports can themselves break these guidelines.
- If you think a decision about you was wrong, appeal from Support → Appeal a sanction. Someone who didn't make the original decision reviews it.
