Terms of service

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Voznest you accept these terms, the Community guidelines and the Privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Who can use Voznest

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country if it's higher.
• You can't use Voznest if we've banned you before or the law doesn't allow you to.
• If you use Voznest for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

3. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your password and verification codes to yourself.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else got in.
• One person, one account for everyday use; extra accounts can't be used to get around rules or limits.

4. Your content

• What you post stays yours.
• You give Voznest the permission it needs to store, process and show your content to the people you share it with, only to run and improve the service. That permission ends when you delete the content, except where it's been shared with others who keep it, or where we must keep it by law.
• You must have the rights to what you post, and it must follow the Community guidelines.

5. Using Voznest properly

• Don't break the law or the Community guidelines, or help others do it.
• Don't interfere with the service: no attacks, scraping without permission, reverse engineering to get around protections, or overloading the systems.
• Don't access accounts, hubs or data you have no permission for.
• Don't sell, rent or transfer your account.

6. Hubs, bots and developers

• Hub owners set and enforce their hub's rules, within these terms.
• Bots and apps built on the Voznest API must follow these terms and the developer terms, respect the permissions people grant them and protect the data they receive.
• We may limit or turn off apps or bots that break the rules or harm the service.

7. Price and Halo

Talking on Voznest is free: messages, voice, video, streams, hubs, moderation, safety and accessibility don't cost anything, and there are no ads.

• Halo is an optional membership with extras (a ring around your avatar, bigger uploads, more Sparks, voice studio and more). Nothing free is taken away to make room for it.
• Right now there's nothing to buy: the Voznest team gives Halo (for example to testers or at events) or hands out Halo codes. A code can be used only as many times as it allows and can't be exchanged for money.
• A membership lasts until its end date, or until the team removes it — for example when an account is suspended or banned. When Halo ends, everything free stays as it was.
• If we ever charge for Halo, it will have its own terms that you accept before paying, including how to cancel.

8. Suspension and closing accounts

• You can delete your account whenever you want from Settings → My account.
• We may suspend or close accounts and hubs that break these terms or the Community guidelines, or to protect people or the service. Where we can, we'll tell you why and how to appeal.

9. The service as it is

We work to keep Voznest available and secure, but we provide it “as is”: there may be interruptions, errors or changes to features. To the extent the law allows, Voznest isn't liable for indirect losses, lost data or lost profits arising from using the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. Continuing to use Voznest after that means you accept the new terms.
